Product Name
201 Poly Dimethyl Silicone / Silicone Fluid / Dimethyl Silicone Oil (PDMS201 / PMS201)
Molecular Formula
(CH3)3SiO[(CH3)2SiO]n-Si(CH3)3
Key Performance
PMS201 belongs to the same product family as well-known international grades such as DC-200, GE-9981, KF-96, and silicone fluids AK. It offers excellent heat resistance, oxidation resistance, and low-temperature performance, allowing long-term operation from approximately -50°C to 180°C.
The product also features strong shear resistance, low vapor pressure, low surface tension, good water repellency, good lubricity, and excellent electrical properties such as breakdown-voltage resistance, arc resistance, corona resistance, and low dielectric loss. It also provides good light transmittance and is generally non-toxic.
Main Applications
- Electrical insulation medium: suitable for motors, electrical appliances, and electronic instruments requiring heat resistance, moisture resistance, and dust resistance.
- Shock absorption and damping: used in instruments, dampers, automotive gauges, and other systems that need stable vibration control.
- Mold release agent: applicable to plastic molding, rubber processing, metal casting, papermaking, glassware, and similar industries.
- Defoamer: effective in petroleum, chemicals, textiles, coatings, pharmaceuticals, fermentation, and food-related processes.
- Lubricant: suitable for rubber, plastic, bearings, gears, and machinery operating under demanding temperatures.
- Surface treatment agent: can form a water-repellent, mold-resistant, and insulating film on glass, ceramic, metal, paper, leather, and fabrics.
- Additive: improves waterproofing, gloss, oxidation resistance, and processability in coatings, rubber, waxes, and resins.
- Medical-related uses: may be used in anti-foaming systems, auxiliary pharmaceutical formulations, and related compliant applications.
- Other industrial uses: suitable for heat-transfer systems, precision instruments, copier anti-smudge treatment, and cosmetic formulations.
Packaging and Storage
Standard packaging includes 200 kg iron-plastic drums or 50 / 25 / 20 / 10 / 5 kg plastic buckets. Shelf life is 3 years when stored in clean, sealed containers away from acids, alkalis, contaminants, and open flame.
